March 7th 2008
The Farmhouse Hotel

Tony, is best known and loved for his role as the maddingly dim-witted Baldrick, the turnip loving sidekick to Rowan Atkinson’s Blackadder in the acclaimed BBC TV series.

In addition to being the creator of this worldwide comedy icon, Tony has, over the last couple of decades, emerged as on of Britain’s foremost faces of popular history. He is also an award winning author of 17 children’s books and as a writer of children’s programmes has won two Royal Television awards, a BAFTA and the international Prix Jeunesse.

At a recent Monaco Celebrity Lunch, Tony entertained a packed-to-capacity crowd in the Café de Paris with an hilarious speech that verged on the surreal and swept the audience on a voyage through this remarkable entertainer's life.

This is a man who would “pop into school for lunch and a game of football”, yet has more honorary MAs (five) than O'levels; a man who can't stand heights yet abseiled down a cliff while recreating A Day in the Life of a Viking; and whose worst job was being dropped in the proverbial brown stuff by John Wayne.

Hear it all at the Farmhouse on March7th, and please remember to book early as places are very limited for what is sure to be a highly popular and amusing occasion.

Tony’s career has been, and continues to be, truly remarkable. He’s been active in theatre, television and as a writer for most of his life, starting at the age of thirteen in the original version of the stage musical “Oliver”. His first notable TV appearance was as the cerebral palsied Ernie Roberts in horizon’s award winning “Joey”.
