In Partnership With
Sir Bernard Ingham
30th September 2005
Café de Paris, Monaco
An expectant audience filled the Café de Paris to be with former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's former chief press secretary, Sir Bernard Ingham here in Monaco last Friday, and they were not disappointed.
Sir Bernard took to the stage for nearly an hour following a gourmet lunch, and kept his audience in raptures with his highly amusing anecdotes from his time at No10 with
the Iron Lady and of traveling the world with her on official tours.
We were treated to a rare insight into a world previously only alluded to on TV shows like "Yes Minister" as well as hearing, first hand, of the intricacies, embarrassing moments and amusing episodes happening between heads of state and captains of industry. Sir Bernard also shared some of his
personal insights and observations into Prime Minister Thatcher as a person, as a politician and as a head of state. A truly memorable occasion, and one all those present will remember for a long, long time.
